Artist's Description

A busy carpenter bee rests and allows to have it's portrait taken. I especially like this shot for the detail of the surface of the tiny pollen grains. No wonder they stick to anything they touch.

About Len Romanick

Len Romanick

Located in central New Jersey, I shoot under the moniker LensAfield, specializing in macro (close-up) imagery of the natural world around us that we generally don't pay attention to, don't see, or are not aware. I like to find and photograph interesting and difficult subjects that are technically and artistically challenging and maintain an active "bucket list" of shots I would like to capture as I contemplate future shooting opportunities.
